Culliver Apologies For Anti-Gay Remarks

  • On Thursday, San Francisco 49ers' cornerback Chris Culliver apologized for the anti-gay remarks he had made earlier this week. In the course of a radio interview with Artie Lange, Culliver had said gay players were not welcome into the 49ers locker room. He also said that the team had no gay players. Culliver's remarks were received with much criticism from the Bay Area gay community. In his apology, Culliver said, "I'm sorry if I offended anyone. They were very ugly comments. Hopefully, I learn and grow from this experience."
