Cricket World Cup: Injured Junaid Khan out of Pakistan team

  • Junaid Khan, the left-arm pacer from Pakistan, has been ruled out of the forthcoming cricket World Cup after failing a fitness test, media reports said.

The 25-year-old fast bowler had suffered a hamstring injury during training. According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, he has “been found not fit to play” in the tournament being held in Australia and New Zealand.

Junaid, who has bagged 75 one-day wickets, said it was “very disappointing” to be left out of the World Cup, but he could not play “without being 100% fit".
