André Villas-Boas Named New Tottenham Head Coach

  • Portuguese football manager, André Villas-Boas, better known as AVB, has been named the new Tottenham head coach. The appointment of 34-year-old Villas- Boas only about four months after being sacked by Chelsea drew much criticism but has been hailed as a fresh chance to prove his worth by AVB supporters. Spurs chairman, Daniel Levy, went on record to say that Villas-Boas shared the players' ambitions and was keen to nurture new talent. Levy had previously sacked Harry Redknapp, Villas-Boas’ predecessor, after a failure to qualify for the Champions League. André Villas-Boas has now signed a three year contract with Tottenham Hotspur.
