October 17 , 2014
Bestselling American author John Grisham has apologized for his comments that sentences for men who looked at child pornography were quite harsh, according to media reports.
He made the controversial remarks during an interview with the Daily Telegraph. Referring to sex offenders in the US, he was quoted as telling the British newspaper that there are now so many “old white men in prison who’ve never harmed anybody, would never touch a child.”
Grisham, who has sold more than 250 million books since 1988, is ready with his latest legal thriller.
