Usher and Shakira join The Voice US

  • Usher and Shakira have been signed as mentors for the fourth season next year of NBC's hit singing contest The Voice.

    Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green will take a break from the show, which is currently airing its third season.

    The fourth series will also feature original coaches Adam Levine from Maroon 5 and country singer Blake Shelton.

    Cee Lo Green is working on new music and a sitcom based on his life for NBC while Christina Aguilera will be on tour to support her new album.

    Both confirmed they would return for the fifth series.

    Shakira is a Colombian singer-songwriter who burst on to the music scene with her song Hips Don’t Lie. Her song Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) was chosen as the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

    Grammy-winner Usher is one of the biggest selling artists in the world, whose recent chart toppers include OMG and Yeah!
