Rock and Roll Legend Chuck Berry Passes Away at 90

  • St Charles County police (of US state of Missouri) reported that Chuck Berry, the legend of rock and roll music, died at the age of 90. He was reportedly found unresponsive during lunch on Saturday.

    The statement published by the police on their Facebook page said that Chuck (Charles Edward Anderson Berry Sr.) was found unresponsive at 17:40 GMT (12:40 local time) and was declared dead at 18:26 GMT (1:26pm local time).

    The illustrious career of the legendary rock and roll singer-composer includes classic numbers such as Roll Over Beethoven and Johnny B. Goode.

    In 1984, he achieved lifetime achievement Grammy and in 1986 he became the first person to be inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
