Rihanna's Diamonds marks 12th Billboard number one single

  • Rihanna's latest single Diamonds has topped the Billboard Hot 100 Songs chart in the U.S., marking the singer's 12th number one.

    The Barbadian singer is now tied at fourth place with Madonna in the list of artists who have had the most chart-toppers in America.

    Only Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey and The Beatles have had more U.S. number ones.

    On Thursday, the star tweeted:"I'm still floating high on my 12th number 1 single!!! That's what happens when you smokin on #DIAMONDS."

    Unapologetic, her seventh studio album, is set to be released on November 26 and has already gone to the top of the iTunes album charts in 43 countries.
