Radiohead stage collapse victim named as drum technician Scott Johnson

  • A man killed after a stage collapsed ahead of a Radiohead concert in Toronto has been named as 33-year-old Scott Johnson, a drum technician from the United Kingdom.

Police said the stage was being set up on Saturday when the top part of it fell on top of him.

Three other people were injured in the incident at Downsview Park.

A message on Radiohead’s website said the gig had been cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances".

Fellow musicians have been paying tribute to the drum technician, who worked with bands such as White Lies and Keane, on Twitter.

The collapse occurred an hour before the gates were due to open for the concert.
