Michael Jackson's costumes shown on world tour

  • Costumes worn by the late Michael Jackson are going on a global tour next week ahead of an auction later this year.

The exhibit opens in Santiago, Chile on Friday and includes the pop star’s signature crystal-covered gloves, a military style jacket he wore to an awards ceremony in 1989 and a silver leotard worn during his Bad tour in 1987.

Around 50 to 100 costumes will be showcased. The items were mostly gifted back to Jackson’s long-time collaborators Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush, who spent 25 years designing his stage and personal outfits.

The exhibit will tour cities in Europe and Asia ahead of the Beverley Hills auction on December 2.
