'Law & Order' star dies

Dennis Farina, who played a cop on 'Law & Order' died on Monday after suffering blood clotting in his lungs. He was in a Scottsdale hospital at the time.
Farina had made use of his appearance and charm for three decades and had also acted in three movies. He had recently finished shooting for 'Lucky Stiff', a comedy. Farina had been a detective in Chicago before entering the profession of acting when he came close to turning forty. He had met the director of his first film, "Thief" while working for his old job in the Chicago Police Department.
Farina left behind his three sons, six grandchildren and his partner, Marianne Cahill.
