Hilary Swank victim of Paris smash-and-grab

  • Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank had her purse stolen in Paris by thieves who smashed the window of the taxi she was in.

The three robbers targeted the vehicle during a traffic jam in the northern suburb of Saint-Denis on Friday morning.

They broke the window of the back seat and snatched the American actress’s designer handbag from her hands.

Drivers and passengers are seen as easy targets in the French suburb, which suffers from regular traffic jams.

Swank, 38, has won two Academy Awards for her role in the 1999 movie Boys Don't Cry and the 2004 film Million Dollar Baby.
