French actor Louis Jourdan dies in Los Angeles

Louis Jourdan, the French actor best known for his role in the 1958 musical ‘Gigi’, has died aged 93.
The Marseilles-born Jourdan acted in French films before making a transition to Hollywood. During World War 2, he joined the French resistance against the Nazis.
His important work included roles in ‘The Paradine Case’ and ‘The Swan’. In later years, he played negative roles like the one in the James Bond film 'Octopussy'.
He was given the Legion D'Honneur, France’s top award, in 2010.
