First Ever Food Trucks hit the Streets of Hong Kong

  • Tourism Commission under the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau of Hong Kong has finally set up 16 food trucks as part of a two-year pilot program called “Food Truck Pilot Scheme”. 13 more food trucks will join the fleet by end of March in eight tourism destinations across Hong Kong, which includes destinations such as Hong Kong Disneyland, Central Harbourfront, Ocean Park, and more. Reports say that implementation of these food trucks was inspired by food truck culture in Los Angeles. These food trucks are operated legally in Hong Kong under Food Factory License umbrella’s new Special Purpose Vehicle classification.
