CeeLo Green apologizes after objectionable tweets on rape

  • Musician CeeLo Green has apologized for posting objectionable messages on Twitter about rape, as per media reports.

Green had earlier pleaded no contest to the charge of giving Ecstasy to a woman in 2012. He was also accused by her of sexual assault, but as the evidence was insufficient, there was no charge.

In a tweet, which was later deleted, he said: "If someone is passed out they're not even WITH you consciously!”

Later, apologizing for his comments, he tweeted that the remarks “were idiotic, untrue and not what I believe.”
