British actress Dora Bryan dies at 91

  • British actress Dora Bryan, remembered for her roles in Absolutely Fabulous and Last of the Summer Wine, has died at the age of 91.

    She won a best actress Bafta for the film, A Taste Of Honey (1962). Her career encompassed film, theater, television, and radio.

    Born in Lancashire, she made her stage debut at the age of 12 and later moved to London. She played the title stage role in Hello, Dolly and worked in films such as Carry On Sergeant.
