Banksy makes changes to a painting for charity
November 1 , 2013
Banksy does it again.
The secretive graffiti artist bought a pastoral scene for $50, added a Nazi soldier sitting on a bench in the painting and returned it back to the New York store he originally bought it from.
Bidding for the Housing Works' painting has now reached $220,000 and will benefit homeless people as well as those affected by AIDS.
The artist posted a photo of the painting on his website, entitling it "The banality of the banality of evil."
