Australian actor and radio star Bill Kerr dies

Bill Kerr, an Australian actor and radio star who was most successful during the 1950s and 1960s, has died at the age of 92.
Born in 1922 in Cape Town, he gained popularity as a radio and vaudeville star. In 1947 he moved to Britain.
Some of the popular shows he appeared in included Hancock’s Half Hour and Doctor Who. Back in Australia he acted in Gallipoli, a 1981 film.
His family members were quoted as saying that Kerr died while watching television at his home in Perth.
