Actress Kristin Chenoweth is in hospital after being struck by a piece of lighting equipment on the set of The Good Wife.
The 43-year-old, best known for her roles in The West Wing and Glee, was put in a neck brace and taken away in an ambulance from the New York set.
According to a statement released by TV studio CBS: "A gust of wind blew a lighting silk out of place, striking actress Kristin Chenoweth.”
However, the studio's statement contradicts the account of the accident from Chenoweth's publicist, who her client was hit by falling scaffolding.
Chenoweth joined the Emmy Award winning legal drama in a recurring role for its fourth season.
She plays a reporter trying to uncover the truth on the lead character, Alicia Florrick played by Julianna Margulies and her estranged husband Peter portrayed by Chris Noth, who is running for governor.
