Work for NASA in bed for 15 weeks
September 20 , 2013
NASA is looking for test subjects who would volunteer to lie in bed for 15 weeks and get paid $5,000 every month for doing so.
The test subjects would not be allowed to sit or stand and be subjects for seven different research projects. Even while lying down, the subjects would have to be doing active exercises in the Galveston center without being exposed to much sunlight. They will, however be encouraged to work on personal projects or on the internet in the meantime and will be given a two week long rehab session at the end.
A researcher mentioned that subjects "experience the same physical changes that astronauts go through on long missions." and that the research looks into "the musculoskeletal and psychological effects of long-term confinement to a reduced gravity environment."
