Winning lottery ticket turned in at lost and found

  • A lottery-ticket dealer turned a winning ticket to the Spanish officials, who are now trying to locate the winner of the $6.27M prize. The ticket was never claimed and dates back to last year.

Manuel Rieja González found the ticket on a lotto vendor's counter, which wasn't the same one the ticket had been purchased from.

It has been decided that the actual winner will need to come forward within two years of the drawing on June 30, 2012 or the money will be given to Rieja.

The ticket-holder has to provide facts regarding the place and time of the purchase of the ticket as well as the place where the ticket was left behind. Police said so far, there has been one fraudster who has attempted to claim the cash so far.
