US slowdown: IMF cuts global growth forecast to 3.3%
July 10 , 2015
The IMF has cut its global growth forecast for 2015 because of the US slowdown. The forecast has been revised from the previous figure of 3.5% to 3.3%.
In June, it had lowered its US growth forecast from 3.1% to 2.5%. The IMF described the US slowdown as an “unexpected output contraction”. However, it said that the Greece debt crisis and the stock market turmoil in China had not affected the “broad outlook picture” for global growth this year.
