US Postal Service to deliver Amazon packages on Sundays
November 12 , 2013
US Postal Service is soon going to deliver Amazon packages on Sundays to customers in the metropolitan areas of New York and Los Angeles.
Sunday delivery is expected to be available from this week onwards and Amazon and the Postal Service plan on expanding it to other portions in the US, including Dallas, New Orleans, Houston, and Phoenix.
The company expects Sunday delivery to become popular among its Prime service members, who are offered a free two-day shipping on several items. They can even use the streaming service available on the website.
Vice president of worldwide operations and customer service Dave Clark said this service will be "like any other delivery day of the week" for non-Prime members, but it won't cost them anything extra to get a package delivered on a Sunday.
Financial details of this arrangement have not been revealed as yet.
