US, Europe shares rebound after turbulent week

  • European and American shares bounced back after a volatile week that saw stock markets nosedive.

US stocks closed Friday up by over 1% as the S&P 500 posted its largest gain in over a week.

Europe's key indexes, which had dropped sharply following anxiety over slowdown of the global economic recovery, also closed higher.

Concerns over the effects of the Ebola epidemic have also contributed to the fall in stock markets, media reports said.
