Restaurant throws out no garbage in 2 years
April 27 , 2014
Justin Vrany's Chicago restaurant has barely tossed any garbage in two years. In fact, he mentioned that the restaurant only produced 8 gallons of it in the time period, which is the amount several restaurant toss in about an hour.
He said they are "now official a zero-waste restaurant" since an artist picked up those 8 gallons of waste for his work.
"I used to eat whatever and do whatever I wanted to do," he said. He learned how to utilize waste in school, which opened his mind. "That kind of stuff sticks with you," Vrany said. "I just want to change things, for my kids, for all of us."
