Prudential boss Tidjane Thiam to take over as CEO of Credit Suisse

  • Tidjane Thiam will take over as the new chief executive of Credit Suisse, the Swiss bank has announced.

    Thiam, the Chief Executive of insurance firm Prudential, will replace Brady Dougan as the head of Credit Suisse.

    Describing Thiam as “a strong and distinguished leader”, Urs Rohner, the chairman of Credit Suisse, said he “led Prudential to great success in challenging times”.

    The firm also said it was “extremely grateful” for Dougan's “unparalleled personal contribution” to the bank for several years.
