President Xi Jinping may reveal $46-bn investment plan for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor

Xi Jinping, the President of China, who is on a visit to Pakistan, may declare an investment of $46 bn. The focus of the investment is to build a China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which will be a network of railway, roads and pipelines between the two countries. If the plan works out, the network will run from Gwadar in Pakistan to western Xinijang region of China. As per reports, the project will be beneficial for both the countries as it will give China an easy access to Indian Ocean and beyond, and will give a boost to the struggling economy of Pakistan.
