Pizza Hut begins to sell "by the slice"
January 14 , 2014
Pizza Hut has started to offer pizza by the slice in two locations (Nebraska and Rhode Island) in order to keep pace with other competitions, which offer quick pies.
Each slice will cost between $2 to $3 and take less than four minutes to prepare. Such tests by companies prove that even established restaurant chains don't hesitate to reinvent themselves and change if the industry demands it.
In fact, Chipotle has plans to venture into the pizza business as well and customers will even be able to watch as their pizza is prepared in front of their eyes.
"We're seeing the trends for quick and ready products," Pizza Hut's chief marketing officer said.
