NSA targeted tech giant in China

Edward Snowden's documents have revealed that the NSA hacked into the email of Chinese tech giant Huawei about five years ago when there were tensions regarding the telecommunications equipment manufacturer being a threat to the nation.
The targeting began in 2009 and the agency gained access to the client lists and email archive of the company in no time.
A Huawei official responded to the reports and mentioned that this shows "the need for all companies to be vigilant at all times." The operation was coordinated with FBI and the CIA and aimed at exploiting the fact that the company used its equipment to route data traffic and voice around the world.
