North Korea arms links: US blacklists Singapore-based shipping firm

  • Senat Shipping, a firm based in Singapore, has been blacklisted by the US following allegations that it was supporting shipment of illicit arms to North Korea. According to the US Treasury, the shipping company was providing “extensive” support to a North Korea firm that is already under sanctions. Effectively, any assets Senat Shipping holds in America are now frozen, and US citizens are prohibited from doing business with it. So far Senat Shipping has not commented publicly on the issue.
