No Mountain Dew for kids before tests

  • A grandmother complained after she found out that kids at an elementary school in Florida were being given some Mountain Dew before they took standardized tests. Reports suggest that the children took three tablespoons of the drink, mixed with some trail.

"To me, it's poor precedent," the grandmother said. "We're sitting for young children that they should be hyped up before a test."

It appears that the principal of the school had read about the benefits of such snacks. "She felt that it was a professional practice and implemented it" about a decade ago," a spokeswoman said. "Since then, there's been new information."
