Little time to prevent Greek exit from euro, warns French President

  • French President Francois Hollande has warned that there is “little time” to avert Greece’s exit from the eurozone.

He said that the choice had to be made by Greece and France cannot “impose” additional pension cuts, which is one of the demands of the Eurogroup.

The latest round of talks between the Greek government and EU over the release of bailout funds has been inconclusive.

Meanwhile, Greece’s prime minister Alexis Tsipras has called upon international lenders such as the IMF and EU to become “realistic.”
