Japanese officials raid Mitsubishi office over fuel economy tests

Following the revelation that Mitsubishi had falsified data regarding its fuel economy, Japanese officials raided an office of the car manufacturer. As per media reports, officials searched the company’s plant in Okazaki, a city located in central Japan. Mitsubishi has admitted that the employees had altered data in order to show high mileage rates on more than 600,000 vehicles. The government has asked the company to submit a full report.
