I'm proud to be gay, says Tim Cook

  • Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook has publicly said that he is gay, according to media reports. He said he considered being gay “among the greatest gifts God has given me.”

This makes the 53-year-old Cook the most prominent gay business leader in the world as Apple is the world's most admired firm.

In an article for Bloomberg Businessweek, he said he had never denied his sexuality in the past, but had not acknowledged it publicly either, adding he was “proud” to be gay.
