Hundreds of copies of game buried in a landfill
April 28 , 2014
Huge quantities of Atari's ET, which is supposedly the worst video game ever, have been found in a landfill in New Mexico.
It appears that those who believed in this story were correct since crews discovered hundreds of copies of the game and the incident attracted about 200 fans and locals.
The game came out right after the ET film released and sold over a million copies. It was soon realized that the video game wasn't all that good and the embarrassed Atari got rid of millions of cartridges but the location wasn't known.
A city official had mentioned back in 1983 that the games were in the landfill and it turns out that he was right.
