Greece's interior minister Nikos Voutsis has said the country does not have the money to make a repayment of €1.6 billion to the IMF that is due on June 5.
In comments made to Greek television, the minister said “this money will not be given.”
Greece is trying to negotiate a deal with international creditors such as the EU and IMF to secure a debt bailout.
Meanwhile, Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis said that the country had made "enormous strides” towards clinching a deal and it was now up to the creditors “to do their bit.”
