Greece crisis: Eurozone sets 'final deadline' for fresh proposals
July 8 , 2015
The eurozone has set July 9 as the “final deadline” for Greece to present its new bailout proposal to international lenders.
This will be followed by an EU meeting on Sunday.
Donald Tusk, the president of the European Council, described the unfolding events as “the most critical moment” in the eurozone’s history.
Following the Greek referendum in which voters rejected the previous bailout proposals, the Greek government was expected to table its fresh proposals on July 7, but that did not happen.
