Germany's unemployment at record low

  • Germany's unemployment has dropped to a record low, new data has revealed.

According to revised data by the Federal Statistical Office, the unemployment rate in October now stands at 6.6% instead of 6.7%; the figure for November is also 6.6%.

However, there have been concerns over deflation due to the slower inflation, which fell almost to a five-year low this month.

Inflation fell from 0.7% in October to 0.5% this month, official figures say.
