First book printed in the US is world's most expensive

The first book that ever printed in what later became the US is now the most expensive printed book in the world.
One of the 11 copies of the 1640 Bay Psalm Book was sold at a little over $14M and philanthropist David Rubenstein now wants to share it with libraries across the country.
About 1,700 copies of the book were printed in the Massachusetts Bay Colony but it's been extremely rare for centuries. The director of Philadelphia's Rosenbach Library said the book "was not created to be fancy or splendid or valuable in any way other than the significance of the content."
"But because the congregation for which it was created literally used the book to death, very few of the copies have survived it," he said.
Boston'a Old South Church donated copies of the book to Yale University and Brown University but plans on hanging on to its last one.
