Eurozone unemployment hits record high

Unemployment in the eurozone hit a record high of 18.2 million in August, according to the EU statistics agency.
The number of people out of work increased by 49,000.
Revised data for July meant the jobless rate remained stable at a record high of 11.4 percent.
The highest rate was recorded in Spain, where 25.1 percent of the workforce is out of a job. The lowest of 4.5 percent was recorded in Austria.
