Cracker Barrel removes selected Duck Dynasty items

  • Given the ongoing controversy over Phil Robertson's recent anti-gay remarks, Cracker Barrel is getting rid of some selected Duck Dynasty items off its shelves for the time being.

The chain removed items, which it thought would offend its guests. "We operate within the ideals of fairness, mutual respect, and equal treatment of all people," Cracker Barrel said in a statement. Although, Duck Commander products are owned by Robertson's family, the chain noted that it would continue to offer them.

Meanwhile, petitions to have Robertson reinstated to 'Duck Dynasty' are gaining support but his future with the show remains uncertain.
