China's exports down by 14.6% in March

Exports dropped by 14.6% (in yuan terms) in March in China compared to the previous year, falling below expectations of an increase of over 8%, official data have shown.
Imports were down 12.3% while the forecasts had predicted a drop of over 11%.
China’s monthly trade surplus of $2.92 billion is now at its smallest in more than a year, according to the official figures. In February, a month which typically sees volatile trade numbers, the surplus had reached a record $60.6 billion.
