China's economy grows faster than expected
July 16 , 2014
China’s economy has grown faster than expected in the second quarter amid concerns over the country’s real estate sector.
Its GDP expanded by 7.5% in the second quarter compared to last year in the same period.
With the second largest economy in the world showing acceleration in three quarters, China is better placed to reach its official 7.5% growth target for the entire year.
In the last three decades China has had an average growth of about 10% per year.
