Brewer sends Starbucks a check for $6

  • A small brewery in Missouri responded to a letter by Starbucks' attorney, which expressed concern over the name of one of its brews called "Frappicino' since it's spelled only in a slightly different manner than the company's well-known "Frappuccino."

Exit 6 Pub responded to the concern regarding "confusion, mistake" by sending Starbucks a check for $6 to cover the profit from the use of this word. Owner Jeff Britton wrote that the brewery "never thought that our beer drinking customers would have thought that the alcoholic beverage coming out of the tap would have actually been coffee from one of the many, many, many stores located a few blocks away."

The letter mentioned that they will not use the word anymore and name it as "The F Word" instead. Reports suggest that the new batch of the renamed beverage sold out in a span of three hours and people have been showing their support from all over the world through calls, emails and messages on Facebook.
