Ads boost Google revenue

  • Google has reported a 22% hike in revenue in the second quarter from March to June compared to the same period last year.

The internet giant’s revenue increased to $16bn. Profits increased 6% to touch $3.4bn, the company stated in its earnings report.

The boost in Google’s revenue is being attributed to a strong demand for its advertising.

Meanwhile, chief business officer Nikesh Arora is leaving Google after a decade, the firm announced.
