32 percent of Americans are not saving their money
February 27 , 2014
A recent survey revealed that one-third of American household aren't saving any of their earnings for a rainy day.
According to the American Savings Education Council, only 68 percent save the money they make. The Wall Street Journal notes that the personal savings rate was 3.9 percent in December, which is down from the rate in 2010.
Reports suggest that those who earn over $50k are more likely to save their money and reduce their debt. They are also more likely to have sufficient funds in case of emergencies.
