Israeli navy intercepts 'activist' vessel bound for Gaza

  • Israeli navy has intercepted an activists' vessel bound for Gaza and forced it to move to an Israeli port, according to the military.

The military said that its action in international waters was aimed at preventing the “intended breach” of Gaza’s “maritime blockade.”

The activists were said to be carrying aid, including solar panels and medicines, for the residents of Gaza.

The navy “advised the vessel several times” to change course and intervened when it refused to do so.
