Israel says it will reopen holy site in Jerusalem
October 31 , 2014
Israel has said it would reopen an important holy site of Jerusalem after it was closed following unrest, according to media reports.
The Haram al-Sharif, known as Temple Mount to Jews, is one of the holiest sites of both Islam and Judaism.
Israel closed it after a far-right rabbi and Jewish activist was shot and severely injured.
A spokesperson for Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian leader, said the site’s closure was “declaration of war.”
