Gannett raises its offer to buy Tribune; $15 per share offered

Gannett Co., the owner of USA TODAY and over 100 local news properties across the US mounted the pressure on the Tribune Publishing Co. (TPUB), by raised its offer to buy the media company. It reportedly raised the offer to $15 per share after its earlier bid was rejected by Tribune’s board of directors. With the revised offer, TPUB's worth now stands at about $479 million. TPUB owns the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and other dailies.
