Ecuador: Court issues orders of Ex-President's arrest

A court in Ecuador has ordered the arrest of Ex-President Rafael Correa on Tuesday for involvement in the kidnapping of an opponent in 2012. Mr. Correa, who is now the native of Belgium, has denied the allegations against him. According to media reports, Correa did not appear in the court on Tuesday rather he presented himself to the Ecuadorian consulate in Brussels which was considered as violation of orders by the judge. Former lawmaker Fernando Balda was briefly kidnapped in Columbia in 2012.
