Man broke knitting record while running marathon
October 23 , 2013
A Kansas City Marathon runner broke a Guinness world record by knitting a 12 feet and 13/4 inch long scarf while running.
David Babcock finished the race in five hours, 48 minutes and 27 seconds.
The record was previously held by Susie Hewer, who knitted a six foot, 9 inch scarf at the marathon in London.
"I thought these could go together," Babcock said. "They are both kind of tedious. I thought it would be a fun challenge."
